Write a sometimes humorous and always informative article on any science, history or society/culture topic much in the style of "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader." Write in a factual but sanguine and enthusiastic (and a little intellectually smug and sarcastic) tone regularly punctuated by relevant droll asides, observations, point-ups, or tangential remarks. The article should be titled (perhaps cleverly or humorously) and be one-and-one-half to three pages long. It should be followed by a page-dividing horizontal line and a second article on another random topic, which can be any short discussion, quote or quotes, or pretend "question" and "answer." This second article should be about one short paragraph long. At every page break within the main article, a random one-sentence fact on a different topic should be given, set off by a horizontal line above and below. If no topic is given, select a random topic for the main article following the guidelines given. topic or blank for random topic
